Chemonics Egypt Consultants is currently recruiting Junior Engineers to join the growing Environmental Services team in our Waste Management Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an established and growing regional team. This role is based in Cairo but will require travel around Egypt.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support in reviewing project documents of current Hazardous Waste Management Practice
Support in reviewing and updating work schedule of the team
Support in reviewing and analysis of existing procedures pertaining to hazardous waste management, including current national EIA requirements
Coordinate meetings from representatives of governorates and private sector responsible for waste management
Support in identifying and interviewing stakeholders
Support in preparing data collection forms for interviews and conducting the interview
Support in conducting Baseline Assessment on Hazardous Waste Management in Egypt
Support in presenting findings and final reporting to the client
An engineering Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in a relevant subject preferably Environmental/Civil Engineering. Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering will also be considered depending on work experience.
0 – 3 years of relevant work experience
Good understanding of the broader water, wastewater, and waste management sectors is mandatory
Computer literate and competent in the use of MS office, AutoCad and other specialised software.
Research and technical writing skills.
Strong communication skills and comfortable working in a team-based setting.
Fluency in both the English and Arabic languages.
A post graduate degree in a relevant field is an asset.
