Rice Straw Open Burning Management in Egypt

The main goal of this project is to decrease the practice of open-field burning of rice straw waste in the Nile Delta, in order to improve the air quality and reduce the negative impact it has on the environment and public health. This would be indicated by the reduction in the amounts of emissions prevalent in the air (PM, CO, SO2, CO2 equivalent) over a specified period of time, benchmarked against air quality standards and indices.
