For the construction management services, Chemonics Egypt
Administers construction works, including:
coordinating the activities of the contractor,
ensuring timely completion of the construction activities, and
processing shop drawing submittals, requests for information, change orders, necessary field and laboratory test results, schedules of values, and invoices;
Reviews and approves plans, drawings and specifications, and material and equipment supplies prepared by the design consultant;
Establishes and maintains project document control system;
Prepares and maintains a work order master schedule (independent from but based on the construction contractor schedule), indicating duration, responsibility, and sequencing of major construction activities;
Prepares, manages and administers a Site Safety Plan;
Supervises the surveying work and the contractor layout of the proposed works;
Monitors the compliance of contractor regarding required permits and relevant laws;
Prepares completion and acceptance procedures and tests
Monitors compliance of contractor regarding required commissioning of electrical and mechanical facilities
Reviews and approves O&M training program developed by contractor for Owner’s staff as well as ensures that the contractor provides O&M manuals and spare parts to the Owner
Reviews and approves the as-built drawings submitted by the contractor.
For the construction inspection services, Chemonics Egypt:
Inspects and observes the contractor’s on-site activities
Inspects and observes materials and equipment
Verifies the quantities contained in the contractor’s pay request
Establishes and maintains project document control system
